CTE Position and Role
Michele Vick serves as an Educational Consultant in the English Language Proficiency Program, where she supports international instructors and graduate students in communicating clearly in English and adapting their teaching to the linguistic and cultural expectations of U.S. higher education. She also facilitates professional development on generative AI, effective classroom communication, and evidence-based teaching practices.
Relevant Academic and Professional Experience
Michele brings more than two decades of experience in English language education, teacher professional development, curriculum design, and educational technology. Before joining the Center for Teaching Excellence in 2023, she spent nearly two decades teaching English as a Second Language in North Africa and the United States. Her work has included language assessment, teacher training, curriculum development, instructional design, and educational technology. At Texas A&M, she provides individualized consultations, classroom observations, workshops, and professional development for international instructors and graduate students. She also contributes to university initiatives that help faculty integrate generative AI into teaching responsibly and effectively. Michele holds a Master of Education, with a specialization in Mind, Brain, Education, from Harvard University and a Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching (DELTA).
